Maple – Longevity

Another name for this tree was the Fiddle back because it used for musical instruments. The wood is strong and distinctive because of the frequent knots in the grain. It was used mainly for small household tools and drinking vessel. The sugary sap was the base of wines and tonics.

The Maple symbolises the simple pleasures in life. The family, the friends and the things that warm the heart. The warmth and riches of the family home, and the chance to celebrate and indulge in these pleasures.
