Cherry – Flirtation

The cherry blossom’s flowering period is all too brief; as with the fruit it must be enjoyed in the moment. It won’t come around again for a while so grab it. This reminds one of the beauties and delights of life. This could just be the restoration of faith or falling in love with life again but either way it is a pleasurable experience.

The cherries wood has long been used for venners and marquetry, it polishes to a lovely rich finish. It also holds its flavour well when preserved for glaces, jams and syrups. Most frequently used to make medicine more palatable today, it boosted the immune system and worked well as an expectorant.

The Cherry, the fruit and it's blossom were a symbol of youth and fertility.
