Bay – Victory
What this means is the victory of the spirit. How this has been achieved is of equal importance, because the reputation gained from it will stick. All this brings fame and glory which in turn is recognised in the appropriate manner. The true reward is the platform to do something worthwhile. Other people are aware of the power and charisma within you.
The Bay is better known as a culinery herbfor its flavour and digestive properties, but it was frequently used in medicines having sedative and hallucenagenic effects. The Romans may have been the first to grow it in Britain but it was no doubt already known to the herbalists of the time.
It is symbolic as the garland of the warrior still seen at the Grand Prix, the modern day chariot driver. It was also a vehicle to oracles at the Temple of Delphi as a way to induce a visionary state. In Greek mythology it was associated with Apollo, originally a god of the underworld a figure of youth and heroic venture.
